## How it turned

Winnipeg led from the opening quarter on and never gave it back. The Blue Bombers were up 7-3 after one, thanks to a [Zach Collaros](https://profootballnewshub.com/cfl/players/zach-collaros) touchdown pass to O.Wilson, and stretched that to 17-9 at halftime after a Sergio Castillo field goal and a 25-yard touchdown strike from Collaros to N.Demski sandwiched around two Rene Paredes field goals for Calgary, including a 55-yarder.

Calgary made it a game in the third quarter, scoring 13 points to Winnipeg's 7. [Deonta Mcmahon](https://profootballnewshub.com/cfl/players/deonta-mcmahon) punched in a rushing touchdown, and [Vernon Adams Jr](https://profootballnewshub.com/cfl/players/vernon-adams-jr) found Mcmahon again on a short touchdown pass with under a minute left in the quarter, pulling Calgary within 24-22 heading to the fourth.

Winnipeg answered by leaning on Castillo, who connected from 48, 44 and 33 yards in the fourth quarter to push the lead back to 33-22. Calgary got the final word with a late touchdown run from Q.Vaughn, but it wasn't enough, and the Blue Bombers closed it out 33-28.
