## How it turned

Ohio led 14-0 after the first quarter and kept rolling, taking a 31-0 lead into halftime. Central Michigan didn't get on the board until the third quarter, and even then Ohio still led 31-7 heading into the fourth.

[Nick Poulos](https://profootballnewshub.com/ncaa/players/nick-poulos) found [Riley Neer](https://profootballnewshub.com/ncaa/players/riley-neer) for a 3-yard score before the quarter ended, and Ohio kept adding to it in the second: a 24-yard field goal from W. Hryszko, a short touchdown pass from Poulos to P. Bowman, and a 44-yard strike from Poulos to D. Dorwart right before the half.

Central Michigan's answer came late. J. Clerveaux scored on a 15-yard run in the third quarter, and [Nick Woodford](https://profootballnewshub.com/ncaa/players/nick-woodford) added a 20-yard touchdown run in the fourth. Neither cut into Ohio's cushion in any meaningful way.
